“This is such a lovely idea and I am proud to be associated with a Town Council which is so supportive of this imaginative project. The site of the Garden, adjoining the Memorial Garden, is so well chosen. It is a great tragedy that we have lost so many young people before they have had the opportunity to realise their full potential in life. To celebrate them by providing a place where their family, siblings, and friends can return to reflect, and themselves be inspired to live their lives to the full, ensures that they will stay in our hearts and our memories. The Youth Memorial Garden has fast become a talking point in Thame, has caught the public imagination, and is building a bridge between the generations. I hope that the whole community will engage with the challenge to raise funds to ensure that a permanent memorial can be erected on the site.”
